He’s a hero. I love my new bionic hips!

Although in the beginning, I was frightened. I needed Bi-lateral hip replacement & felt life as I knew it was over. Walking a block caused excruciating pain, high anxiety, & crying fits. I’d been diagnosed with Stage 4 arthritis, bone spurs, & no cartilage . At 72, except for the hips, I was in good shape. I wanted to dance, hike & bike again. Dr. Golden explained that both he & I could do bi-lateral hip replacement- both hips at the same time! He was so self confident that it eased all my fears. Prepping for surgery, I asked the nurse what genre of music he listened to during surgery, she said, “oh none. He’s very focused on what he’s doing.” I know some docs do listen to music, but right then & there, moments before going under, I knew he was the exact right doctor.

Six weeks post surgery & I’m pain free walking 1 1/2 -2 miles daily. There’s some tightness around the incision muscles that diminishes & as they gain strength daily. Every day I wake up & am thankful that the pain is gone & I'm walking again. I love my new bionic hips. And one more thing, This office is busy. They have 5 or so physicians. if you have to wait a little to see him, be patient, be thankful. He’s giving each patient the time they need to answer their questions. He’ll do the same for you!

Doctor Golden saved my life

About 5 years ago started having some pain on my left shoulder and went to see a doctor that gave me a shot of cortisone and help for a few weeks. Later i went to see dr Thomas Golden and after having mri and xrays done he sent me to physical therapy but did not help. After talking to dr Golden it was determined i needed surgery. Surgery went well and after a few weeks went to PT slowly shoulder was getting stronger. The following year my other shoulder started having pain. Went back to Dr Golden and had mri and xrays done. Again shoulder needed surgery

Fast forward 3 months and getting back to normal. After this period of pain that made life a daily struggle i thank dr Golden for giving back my life. Lesson learned is that if you want results please listen to the doctor and for gods sake follow physical therapy even if done with appointments. No therapy no improvements

Coming up on my fourth time seeing Dr Golden. He has operated on my fingers, fixed two broken wrists with a plate put in one and then 5 years ago did my right hip. I have not had any problem with his office or his bedside manner. I go to him as he is the best at what he does without question. I am in the process of making an appointment to have my other hip replaced. I trust him and want no one else. He is very very busy and no nonsense. Have patience, he is worth it 110%.

I was up and walking the night of surgery; had two therapy walking sessions before going home the next day. Used pain medication at home for three days then went to Tylenol for a week before giving it up. Walked with a walker at home for a week and then used a cane for the next three weeks before discarding it. I have been pain free, walking about a mile a day and doing 30-35 minutes on a stationary bike.

Dr. Golden changed my life; wish I had had the surgery sooner.

I had both my Knees done buy this incredible Doctor hes is extremely talented and he's office is extremely efficient. My 1st Knee Replacement was 5 years ago knee is amazing. My second Knee Replacement was done 6 days ago Doctor is using a New Device called ROSA, its help in recovery of my surgery I am walking down the street and pain has been Manageable. I totally Recommend Dr Golden and there Staff extremely efficient and caring.

Dr. Golden performed an anterior hip replacement on my right hip. The surgery and recovery went very well. I absolutely selected the right surgeon for my procedure. Dr Golden is so knowledgeable, professional, and kind! I had several visits prior to the surgery and several after, all with him and not a physician's assistant. Dr. Golden has Excellent bed manners, listens and diagnosis the problem with great results! His assistant Susan expedited my insurance approval for my emergency treatment . Their concern was above and beyond what most doctors do these days. I am thankful to both of them for my recovery.

Dr. Thomas F. Golden saw me for a knee injury. He ordered in office x-rays and while I waited; diagnosed the problem and treated my knee with a cortisone shot all in the same brief visit. He sent me off with a prescription for physical therapy. He managed all this while training an intern. I couldn't ask for a more productive doctor visit. The cortisone shot worked wonders on the swelling and pain and my Physical Therapy is going great.
